This versatile attachment is typically used for milling operations. A milling cutter is mounted in the chuck, while the workpiece is secured on the vertical slide table. Milling is then achieved by moving the lathe in the X, Y, and Z planes. The slide also features double swivels, allowing it to be set at compound angles. Although designed by Myford, this slide could likely be adapted for use on similarly sized lathes.
